What the crew is building right now.
TVC rocket
We created our Thrust vectoring rocket in Onshape and programmed it in C++. It uses a Teensy 4.1 for computing flight data and a Sparkfun BMI260 IMU for acquring position and rotation data. The fin can, nose cone, and gimbal are 3d printed in PA6-GF, and the main tube is a 4 foot long piece of 75 mm blue tube. The Onshape document, BOM, OpenRocket files, and code can all be found here.
Community Outreach
We are very involved in our community and enjoy sharing our passion for STEAM with the people around us. Our members volunteer at Science Olympiad events, for FIRST Robotics events and teams, and at Hamilton County 4-H STEM programs.
Small rocket launch
Basic rocket created to learn the fundamentals of important tools such as OpenRocket and Onshape as well as to familiarize ourselves with commonly used COTS parts.
